Right after the biggest names in music celebrated their biggest night of the year, most of them (though not Adele, who chose to grab some In 'N Out instead) went out to the numerous Grammy-themed parties around Los Angeles. One of those was hosted by Kylie Jenner's boyfriend, rapper Tyga, but the bash is now involved in controversy after former Beatles, Sir Paul McCartney, was kept from entering.

The Internet went crazy earlier this week, after TMZ posted a clip of McCartney, one of the biggest superstars in the world and a legend on his own right, trying to get into the rapper's party on Monday night. On it, the "Say Say Say" singer dropped by Argyle, along with Beck and Foo Fighters star drummer Taylor Hawkins, and they were turned down at the door.

"How VIP do we gotta get?" McCartney can be heard asking on the clip. "We need another hit!"

However, the whole thing seems to have been a misunderstanding. A rep for the club later revealed that, in fact, the former Beatle was trying to get into Mark Ronson's Grammy after-party instead (a bash that was staged at Hyde Lounge), and that, once McCartney realized his mistake, he decided to leave. In all, it seems like, if he really wanted to come into the party, he would have been able to go inside.

Still, Billboard reports that the Keeping up with the Kardashians regular wanted to set the record straight himself, so he went on Jimmy Kimmel Live to explain what exactly went down on Monday night.

"I had no knowledge -- I was inside performing," Tyga told Kimmel, after making fun of the event on a short bit. "I wish I knew that [McCartney] was outside. I would've went out there with the mic, brought him in and perform "Rack City" with me."

Graciously, the rapper then invited McCartney to come to his next show, offering to walk in John Lennon's former writing partner to the Los Angeles Club Nokia on February 26.
