There is no shortage of DC Comics characters in Supergirl, and it certainly sounds like one of the most notorious anti-heroes might actually be making an appearance on the CBS show! The Master Jailer might be Kara Danvers' main nemesis in "Truth, Justice and the American Way," but the sneak peek at the episode teases at the possibility that Melissa Benoist's Kryptonian heroine could go up against Lobo!

The "Truth, Justice and the American Way" sneak peek features Kara discussing the Master Jailer with Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Henshaw (David Harewood), who are wondering if the character is actually an intergalactic bounty hunter that nobody wants to mess with. The description isn't lost on DC comic book fans, since there is only one character scary enough to make the Martian Manhunter second-guess himself.

But is Lobo going to appear in the series? As Henshaw said, "I would know if he is nearby," so it is highly unlikely that the antihero will show up in the next episode. However, there are still a few more episodes to go. So Lobo fans should keep their fingers crossed that he might make an appearance soon.

So what makes Lobo so popular? The character was created by Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen and was originally introduced as an Omega Men villain. However, Lobo's reinvention in the 90's was well-received by fans and the character has gone on to appear in his own comic book series as well as a hilarious short film The Lobo Paramilitary Christmas Special. The Last Czarnian actually killed off all of his kinds and has his own twisted code of honor. The character has superhuman strength and does not seem to have any weaknesses, making him a formidable Superman foe.

"Truth, Justice and the American Way," the 14th episode of Supergirl, will air on CBS on February 22.
