The woman who tried to kill her barber over a bad haircut may be sentenced to life in prison. According to Fox 5, Adrian Swain is facing charges of attempted premeditated murder with a firearm after she allegedly started shooting at her barber because she wasn't pleased with her haircut.

During Swain's court appearance Tuesday, San Diego Deputy District Attorney Mackenzie Harney said, "She walked in and said, 'Look what you did to my hair!'"

The incident took place last week where Swain got her haircut by Manny Montero at a San Diego barber shop. Swain wanted the "cut and shaved design" that Montero was known for and seemed pleased after he had finished.

Swain paid for her haircut and left. She returned to the shop about 20 minutes later with a gun, and shotat Montero three times.

"It's a pretty bizarre case," the DA said. "She's upset about the haircut and points a gun at the barber and pulls the trigger three times."

The loaded handgun never fired when Swain pulled the trigger. The prosecution seems to suggest the loaded gun didn't work because Swain didn't rack the chamber first.

"She was really lucky she pulled the trigger three times. She absolutely had the intent to hurt or kill this person. That what could have happened -- so we are very lucky that gun didn't work."

After paying $20 for the cut and leaving a $20 tip, Montero said Swain returned with a different haircut. When he saw her, Swain appeared to have a bald spot on the side of head.

Judge Jay Bloom, put Swain's bail at $750,000.

According to 6 ABC, Swain pleaded not guilty to premeditated attempted murder. If found guilty Swain, could be sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole.
