Universal Pictures Home Entertainment brings audiences the award-winning ensemble drama, Spotlight, to DVD and Blu-Ray.  On the official release date, just before the 2016 Oscar Awards, check out the special features starring the must-see talents of Michael Keaton, Mark Ruffalo, and Rachel McAdams.

As we previously mentioned, Michael Keaton (Birdman), Mark Ruffalo (Avengers: Age of Ultron) and Rachel McAdams (True Detective) lead the critically acclaimed cast. This is the gripping story of the Pulitzer Prize-winning investigation that uncovered a scandal, which rocked one of the world's oldest and most trusted institutions.A group of Boston Globe news reporters delve into the allegations of child abuse within the local Catholic Archdiocese. These reporters will expose a massive cover-up that reaches the highest levels of Boston's religious, legal, and government establishments.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, writer/director Tom McCarthy describes how he wanted his ensemble characters to feel flaws and relatable, "The term "hero" is bandied about a lot, but as far as my film is concerned I think they are heroes. They're even more heroic because of their humanity, because of their flaws. They're not superheroes, they're human beings. The fact that Keaton's character, Robby Robinson, acknowledges that he missed the child-abuse story when it first came across his desk and he kind of falls on his sword for it - that's heroic to me. Not enough people own their mistakes, anymore."

According to Joblo, The Blu-ray and DVD special feature include the short featurette, "Uncovering the Truth: A Spotlight Team Roundtable," which analyzes how 14 years after their journalistic detective work rocked the Catholic church, the real-life Boston Globe Spotlight team reunites for a roundtable discussion about the challenges they faced. Two behind-the-scenes videos include Spotlight: A Look Inside, and The State of Journalism.

Spotlight arrives on DVD and Blu-Ray, On Demand on February 23, 2016.
