After 22 seasons/cycles running America's Next Top Model after creating the talent competition show from scratch, Tyra Banks will be stepping down from her role as host in the long-running series. VH1 has picked the series up months after its cancellation, and the former Victoria's Secret Angel has announced she won't be the face of the show anymore, though she'll continue to produce.

According to Variety, VH1 has officially made an order for 14 new episodes of ANTM, after CBS Television Distribution had spent the past couple of months quietly trying to sell the project again after its cancellation late last year.

While the show as we know it will still be the same, there's talk of a major overhaul in several aspects, including Banks dropping from the hosting gig and staying only as executive producer. While so far little is known about cycle 23 of the long-running show, it's believed that the panel of judges will also be different, after the last two seasons had Banks, Kelly Cutrone and J. Alexander as judges.

The show also found success internationally, and there are numerous franchises of the concept around the globe, including Africa's Next Top Model, Asia's Next Top Model and several others in various countries between Europe and Latin America. In all, Banks' idea has turned into a major franchise and it is presented in different versions on all of the continents at this point.

"After creating an incredible, global brand, I am beyond excited to have the show reborn," Banks told Deadline when the new season was announced. "I will continue as Executive Producer, but must turn my attention to new business endeavors, so I want to find a new host. I'm pumped to identify that person and bring back the show. Top Model fans, you demanded that the show come back, and VH1 answered the call. Get ready for a fierce-a-fied rebirth!"
