Chrissy Teigen Defends Decision for Choosing Gender of Unborn Child

John Legend's wife, Chrissy Teigen has found herself defending her decision with outraged critics who disagreed with Teigen for choosing to have a baby girl.

The Sports Illustrated model probably didn't know that she'd receive an headache after revealing that she choose the sex of her child while undergoing in vitro fertilization in a recent interview.

Earlier this week, Teigen took to Twitter where she revealed that a lot of doctors already know the sex of babies before they are born, even before an ultrasound shows it on camera.

you'd be surprised at how many people you know go through this. also every doctor knows the sex of the embryos, it isn't some grand secret.

Teigen previously opened up about her pregnancy and revealed why she decided to choose a baby girl as her first born.

"Not only am I having a girl, but I picked the girl from her little embryo. I picked her and was like, 'Let's put in the girl,'" the soon-to-be mother said.

She added, "I think I was most excited and allured by the fact that John would be the best father to a little girl. That excited me. It excited me to see ... just the thought of seeing him with a little girl. I think he deserves a little girl. I think he deserves that bond. A boy will come along."
