The biggest night in film is this weekend, as the most iconic stars in Hollywood celebrate the 2016 Oscars at the historic Dolby Theater. Now, while stars practise their loser faces and decide what to wear and who to thank for next Sunday, Jimmy Kimmel Live! released a new edition of one of the show's most popular sketches, "Celebrities Read Mean Tweets," in honor of the Academy Awards!

Oscar winners, nominees and even those only slightly involved in the awards show were all victims of the latest edition of Jimmy Kimmel's ongoing sketch. On it, as is the norm, some of the biggest names in entertainment read the awful things people say about them on the social network, with reactions ranging from amusement to anger.

As for the Oscar nominees and winners, the victims this time around were as follows: two-time winners Christoph Waltz, George Clooney, Kevin Costner, Cate Blanchett and Sean Penn; one-time winners (so far) Patricia Arquette, Eddie Redmayne, Susan Sarandon and Richard Dreyfuss; and nominees Jessica Chastain and Taraji B. Henson. Still, those who have never been up for the big guy had to read some terrible stuff too, including Emily Blunt, Zach Galifianakis, Kevin Hart, Seth Rogen and Oscar Isaac.

The best out of all of them? Probably the one that Madonna's ex Penn got to read.

"Sean Penn: 1) has a penis nose, 2) has a scrotum face, 3) has an anus mouth, 4) is a butthole," written by Twitter user @Jenny_IDLYITW.

This is the second awards ceremony-themed edition of "Mean Tweets" this year; only days back, the talk show host unveiled a "Music Edition" dedicated to the Grammy Awards.

In all, the segment has turned into one of Kimmel's most popular running gags, and that's including things like his years-long joke of Matt Damon being forever stuck in the green room and the yearly "I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy" one.
