5 Thoughts On Charlie Cox, Elodie Yung As Elektra In 'Marvel's Daredevil' Season 2 Trailer!

Audiences have been eagerly anticipating Season 2 of Marvel's Daredevil on Netflix. This is the perfect opportunity to check up on Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock), Elodie Yung (Elektra) and Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle aka The Punisher) as their comic book alter egos in the second official trailer.

As we previously mentioned, Matt Murdock (Cox) was a young boy when he was struck blind after a near fatal car accident. Though everyone thinks he lives in complete darkness, radioactive chemicals gave him back his sight. By day, Murdock pretends to be the blind lawyer attending courtroom battles. But with Daredevil serving out his own brand of justice, Murdock's protection of Hell's Kitchen came with a heavy price against Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio).

5) The Bad Girl!

In the first trailer, we saw the man without fear walking slowly across and all of a sudden, he pulls out a knife? This is how Matt says hello to an ex? Seriously, how messed up did Matt get with Elektra (Elodie Yung) that he has to pull out a weapon? Part two of the trailer continues with the focus on Murdock's former girlfriend.

4) The Greek Girl!

New showrunners Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez have gone through Sin City writer Frank Miller's run on Daredevil. In Miller's gritty take, Murdock and Elektra start a fight with each other, which is considered foreplay between them, before jumping into bed together. The footage teases a steamy sex scene between the two.

3) The Punisher!

The latest trailer suggest that the Japanese mafia, the Yakuza, are trying to take control of Wilson Fisk's open territory. The storyline reminds me of Dolph Lundgren's version of The Punisher. In the '80s cult classic, the Punisher has to the save the children of the Italian mob bosses after they have been kidnapped by the Japanese mobsters. Is the show a remake of the movie?

2) Poor Foggy!

Things haven't been same between the former best friends since Murdock vs. Nelson. Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) worries he's going to one day find Matt lying dead. With Elektra back in town, Foggy knows his best bud can't think straight when she's around. Things have even gotten worse between Matt and Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson), because she's yelling at him too.

We were wondering if Fisk was ever going to get revenge against Karen Page for putting bullet holes into his best friend? Who's the Big Bad for the sophomore season? In the Marvel Universe, The Hand is a ninja order that serves The Beast. The Hand has been spreading its dark influence over the world, and even contemplated about recruiting young Matt into their organization. Does Daredevil need The Punisher's help when he takes on "The Rising" of the Beast?
