On Sunday night, Lady Gaga's chilling performance of her nominated song "Til It Happens to You," a song about rape victims and a personal experience for her, was so chilling, it caused a standing ovation on the Dolby Theater. The following day, model turned actress Jaime King revealed on Twitter that she, too, was a victim of sexual abuse, confessing she's a survivor of child abuse.

Hours after Gaga's heart-wrenching performance, King retweeted a quote from the Grammy winner talking about being happy to "give survivors a stage." While many retweeted the quote, King added that the performance had made something change in her.

"Thank you @ladygaga - I finally felt a true healing from years of abuse as a minor in the industry. Time to be brave," tweeted the 36-year-old, who had never in the past spoken about her personal experience with abuse.

Later on, King took to Instagram to post a picture of herself at age 14 (she says the abuse began when she was 12), along with long message about her recent confession. On it, the Heart of Dixie actress thanked some of the most important people in her life, including husband Kyle Newman for "loving [her] whole" and friend and actress Lena Dunham for her "relentless bravery."

Ever since, King has received an outpouring of love on social media for stepping forward regarding the horrible time in her life, and Gaga, who's currently one of the most outspoken celebrities on Kesha's side during her legal battle with Dr. Luke, also tweeted her support.

The song that began this recent confession was co-written by Gaga and Diane Warren for last year's The Hunting Ground, a documentary that revolves around campus rape in the United States. The song was nominated for an Oscar last Sunday, but ultimately lost out to Sam Smith's theme for the James Bond film Spectre, "Writing's on the Wall."
