In case you were wondering, the Rolling Stones are still a very in demand band. Even with the band members pushing their 70s and Charlie Watts already 71, the Rolling Stones know how to put on a show, which is why their upcoming 2013 North American tour will be such a hot sell. They also will be making appearances in the U.K. this summer at the Glastonbury Festival and Hyde Park. The show at Hyde Park is especially monumental since they haven't played that gig since their legendary 1969 performance. Apparently fans know this, which is why their July 6 show at Hyde Park sold out in 3 minutes.

According to Rolling Stone Magazine, the bands show sold out in just minutes, fueling rumors that the Stones could be looking to add a second Hyde Park show. Tickets went on sale this morning (Friday April 5) and more than 65,000 tickets were sold in minutes, further proving that the Rolling Stones are still one of the most in demand shows in the world.

It wasn't all positive news for the band; however, as many fans were upset to learn about the high price of tickets to the concert. VIP tickets to the show went for well over $400. The cheapest price for the Hyde Park show was nearly $150. This is a lot different than the free concert the band put on for 50,000 fans at Hyde Park over 40 years ago.

Fans were hoping for cheaper tickets after the Stones 50th Anniversary shows in London, New Jersey, and New York late last year. However, to see the best, apparently you have to pay the most. The high prices may have angered fans, but that didn't stop them from shelling out the money for the tickets. It looks like the Rolling Stones are as popular as ever, and as is the case with most popular bands; you have to pay to see them play.

Do you think the Rolling Stones tickets were priced too high?
