5 Times Actors Dating Costars Ended Badly; Amanda Seyfried May Be Future Victim

Amanda Seyfried is currently dating her costar Thomas Sadoski. The two are currently filming the comedy The Last Word. The 30-year-old Ted 2 actress actually met the 39-year-old Wild actor back in 2015 when they were both appearing in the off-Broadway play The Way We Get By.

Seyfried is coming off a previous relationship with actor Justin Long which began in 2013 and ended last September. Before that she dated actors Alexander Skarsgard, Ryan Phillipe, Josh Hartnett and Emile Hirsch. Sadoski is currently in the middle of a divorce from casting director Kimberly Hope. The two dated for more than eight years before marrying in 2007.

"Amanda and Thomas are definitely dating right now. She's no longer single," said an insider to Us Weekly. The two have reportedly been seen getting pretty close on the set. In fact, while walking to their trailers, the Mamma Mia! blond beauty was recently spotted grabbing the back of The Newsroom star's pants.

It's not unusual for actors to meet and begin dating while working together. However, it doesn't always end well. Here are five times it hasn't.

5) Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner

The 43-year-old Batman vs. Superman star coincidentally began dating the 43-year-old Elektra actress on the set of another superhero film, 2003's Daredevil. They married in 2005 and had three children together. Unfortunately, this necessitated the need for a nanny and you know the rest. The two announced their divorce in June of 2015.

4) Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson

The Twilight co-stars met and dated throughout the successful movie franchise. However, while filming 2012's Snow White and the Huntsman, 25-year-old Stewart began a relationship with its married director Rupert Sanders. It resulted in his divorce and her breakup from 29-year-old Pattinson.

3) Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow

It could be said, had celebrity combo names existed sooner, that before there was Brangelina, there was Braltrow. Fifty-two-year-old Pitt began dating Paltrow, 43, while filming the 1995 crime/mystery Seven. They became engaged at one point but split in 1997. Interestingly, the Shakespeare in Love Oscar winner recently admitted, "You can't make that decision when you're 22 years old. ... I wasn't ready, and he was too good for me. I didn't know what I was doing." Paltrow went on to marry and divorce Coldplay's Chris Martin. Pitt went on to marry and divorce Jennifer Aniston and then of course marry Angelina Jolie.

2) Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron

The two met while filming Disney's High School Musical in 2005. However, 27-year-old Hudgens admitted that when Efron, 28, got attention from young women it made her jealous and hard to deal with. They broke up in 2010 and as recently as 2015, Hudgens also admitted it's still uncomfortable for her to see her ex.

1) Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling

Of all the celebrity relationships that didn't work out, this one seems to evoke the most reaction. In fact, lovers of the 2004 romantic drama The Notebook, where McAdams and Gosling met, still don't want to believe they're not together. In reality, it was reported that the two had a tumultuous relationship on the set and afterwards dated with equal tension until getting engaged then breaking up in 2008. Although McAdams would later date actor Michael Sheen, her co-star from Midnight in Paris, the 37-year-old Spotlight Oscar nominee was even upset at the news that the 35-year-old star of The Big Short had a baby with his current squeeze Eva Mendes.
