After one very public contract last year and months of expectation, superhero fans all over the world finally got to see The Amazing Spider-Man right where he belongs: in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Tom Holland's Spidey finally got his moment in the sun in the latest Captain America: Civil War trailer, where your friendly neighbor teams up with Iron Man in Phase 3!

Happy nerds are crying all over the globe, and it was about time!

With only a few months to go until what looks to be the MCU's biggest event yet, Disney released the first footage of Spidey right at the end of the trailer. After numerous glimpses of what it's like when the Earth's Mightiest Heroes turn against each other in glorious superpowered violence, the very last glimpse of the second trailer shows Spidey as Iron Man's muscle.

During a fight between the two teams, Iron Man, losing his patience about getting nowhere, utters one cheeky word: "Underused!" This prompts a spider web to appear out of nowhere, take Captain America's shield and end up on top of a car. Lo and behold, Spidey's first words within the MCU: "Hey, everyone."

The Verge calls the new Spider-Man suit "beautiful fan service," as it's a clear homage to the classic way the character dressed back in the 60's, in the times of the iconic cartoon.

In any case, even without Spider-Man appearing, the second Captain America: Civil War trailer is solid stuff. Filled with new footage from the mostly secretive film, the battle is on between Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark and Chris Evans' Steve Rogers, who fight over whether superheroes should be kept under government control or not.

It remains unclear whether this is the last trailer for the film, but perhaps it should be. Contrary to DC Comics' direct rival film this year, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice (also a battle between its two primary superheroes), the people behind Civil War have been fairly tight-lipped about details of the film, which has generated a lot of interest -- so much so that even a second trailer was deemed "unnecessary" by Forbes.

"After another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team," reads the film's synopsis. "The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps -- one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark's surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability."

Captain America: Civil War will reach theaters worldwide on April 27.
