The makers of X-Men: Apocalypse recently released a poster showing the Four Horsemen and their ancient boss, played by Oscar Issac. Now, the team has released a frameable artwork that mirrors the earlier released poster. While Apocalypse intends to destroy the world, the recently released poster shows Mystique, played by Jennifer Lawrence, and her team defending everything this world stands for.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new image titled Defend offers the latest feel from the upcoming X-Men. The poster finally brings newcomers Cyclops (played by Tye Sheridan) and Nightcrawler (played by Kodi Smit-Mcphee) alongside Nicholas Hoult's Beast, Lawrence's Mystique and Evan Peters' Quicksilver. The entire team is in the arms of Professor Charles Xavier (played by James McAvoy.)

From the recently released poster, it looks like the upcoming film will break all the norms shown by earlier X-Men trilogy. X-Men: Apocalypse shows the biggest villain, but also the X-Men themselves seem to be led by Lawrence's character Mystique.

It was earlier reported by Cinema Blend that X-Men: Apocalypse will be the concluding installment in Singer's X-Men Universe. In X-Men: Days of Future Past, fans saw how Lawrence carried the mercenary character and, after gaining applause for her role, putting her on the top of the line in the recently released trailer is not a hasty one.

The story of X-Men: Apocalypse will start from the ancient times where we will see the first and the most powerful mutant, Apocalypse, who is immortal and invincible, being worshiped as a god. According to Coming Soon, the story will take a turn when Apocalypse will get up from his long hibernation and decide to end the humanity. Xavier along with his team will lead a mission to face Apocalypse and defeat him before he ends the human civilization.

The film adaptation of Marvel Comics' X-Men: Apocalypse is slated to release on May 27, 2016.
