The highly anticipated electronic 'rave' that is "Electric Daisy Carnival" will be returning to New York City this summer on May 17th and 18th at Citi Field, and the 2013 lineup is looking better than ever. Along with the unveiling of the official lineup for the music festival's second party weekend in NYC, Insomniac Events also announced that EDC will be going international this summer, as London becomes an added destination for the unique "experience."

As their website states, "No longer simply an electronic music festival, Electric Daisy Carnival has grown into a one of a kind, full entertainment experience. EDC combines the world's most renowned dance music talent with leading-edge production to create an unparalleled experience of sight and sound that you will have to encounter for yourself to believe. This is your world, so come play and let your imagination lead the way."

Making its successful debut in the New York Area last year in the parking lot outside of MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, this year's follow up features a new venue, Citi Field, which will be transformed into an "immersive landscape complete with over-the-top production, special effects, and multiple stages of world-class music!"

"Based on our great experience at the first EDC New York in 2012, there was no question that Insomniac would return to the great fans in New York who supported us during our first major festival on the east coast," said Insomniac CEO, Pasquale Rotella.

With its spectacular display of special effects, state-of-the-art lighting and sound as well as hundreds of theatrical performers, interactive art installations and pyrotechnics, EDC New York will again create an unforgettable experience unlike any other show in the tri-state area.

Good news for EDM-lovers outside of the US who don't want to miss out on this ultimate party experience: EDC will also be hitting Europe this summer as it goes global for the first time with EDC London 2013. This brings Electric Daisy Carnival's total editions worldwide to five (including Las Vegas, New York, Chicago, and Puerto Rico.

The single-day London event is set for July 20 in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the site of last year's Summer Olympics, and will be produced in partnership with storied U.K. festival brand Cream.

"Bringing Insomniac's Electric Daisy Carnival experience across the Atlantic to London has been my dream for years and I couldn't ask for a better partner than Cream, who is a worldwide fixture in electronic dance music culture," said Pasquale Rotella, CEO and founder of Insomniac. "I'm confident that our collaboration will expose Insomniac's returning fans and those who have yet to visit our United States festivals an opportunity to unite this summer in London."

Some confirmed performers for EDC London include Alesso, Hardwell, and Medeon. The complete London lineup will be revealed soon. For now, check out NYC's full lineup here:
