Although the world already knows most of the major roles in the upcoming DC flick Suicide Squad, some characters are still shrouded in mystery. There have been several speculations about Common's character in the film since he was spotted on the Suicide Squad set covered in tattoos, but will the former rapper actually portray the villainous SPOILERS?

Common recently spoke to Complex, where he was asked to comment on his Suicide Squad character.

"My role is basically a character who is in business with The Joker," the rapper revealed before finally sharing the identity of his character.

"His name is Monster T," he said, adding that fans will need to watch Suicide Squad to find out more about the character.

"It's dope though," Common said of the film.

The name certainly doesn't sound familiar to DC fans, so it is possible that the character has been created solely for the movie? Some believe that the name might simply be a code for Tattooed Man, who is known for being a Green Lantern villain who has teamed up with Deathstroke in the comic books. Coincidentally, Scott Eastwood is being rumored to portray Slade Wilson in Suicide Squad.

Common was not the only one who was quizzed about an appearance in a comic book movie. His Barbershop costar Ice Cube was also asked if he will appear in the upcoming Spider-Man reboot starring Tom Holland as the young Peter Parker. However, the rapper turned actor claimed that he wouldn't settle for anything less than a lead role in the movie.

"If I'm not playing Spider-Man, I'm not doing s-t," Cube announced. "I ain't about to play one of these sidebusters."

Suicide Squad is directed by David Ayer and also stars Margot Robbie, Will Smith and Jared Leto. The film will premiere on August 5.
