About two decades after teen you had long discussions with your girlfriends about which 90s boy band was better, Backstreet Boys or NSYNC, and whether Justin Timberlake or Nick Carter was hotter, the two bands have joined forces. Now, the two most successful boy bands of the decade will be on Dead 7, a zombie movie that doesn't include Timberlake -- and the first trailer is here!

The trailer for the upcoming film was released through Buzzfeed, after Carter made the effort to unite the members of both pop bands (BSB is actually still active, whether you follow their new music or not) for the movie, in which they all play a team of unlikely zombie slayers in the post-apocalyptic desert. In all, this is like a mild, low budget version of Walking Dead, where the undead are part zombie and part people you've almost forgotten were once famous.

Unfortunately, the entire groups aren't present for the movie, but the trailer's still a lot of fun to watch. Carter, who plays the lead Clint Eastwood-type gunslinger, won't be showing us the meaning of being lonely because he actually gets the help of fellow BSB A.J. McLean and Howie Dorough, accompanied by rival band members Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick.

Now, the two main boy bands of the 90's aren't the only ones representing the pop culture from your teenage years: Jeff Timmons from 98 Degrees is also around, as are Erik-Michael Estrada, Jacob Underwood, Trevor Penick and Dan Miller from O-Town.

The SyFy film will see Carter playing Jack, who must unite the group of unlikely heroes to kill the undead lurking in a small town, all while saying "Say Bye Bye Bye to Zombies," because that's the film's actual tagline.

According to MTV, Carter was the glue that held the project together, recruiting his fellow 90's superstars. He's also producing the movie alongside company Asylum, the guys behind the Sharknado series, obviously not about to shy away from a ridiculously silly project.

Dead 7 will premiere on SyFy on April 1st, but it's apparently not an April Fools joke.
