Created by executive producers Carlton Cuse (Lost) and Ryan J. Condal (Hercules), USA Network aired the first season finale of Colony. Twitter had lots to say about the shocking twist between Will Bowman (Josh Holloway) and Katie Bowman (Sarah Wayne Callies).

As we previously mentioned, Colony is set in the near future of Los Angeles, after the invasion has taken over. There are those who collaborate and those who resist their new world order. Before a rebel terrorist attack ruined his plans, Will (Holloway) was trying to cross the wall, in order to find his missing son. Because Will was an FBI agent, Proxy Snyder (Peter Jacobson) offers Katie (Callies) and her husband a chance to find the leader of the resistance, in return for their missing child. Unbeknownst to her husband, as he collaborates, Katie has actually been working for the resistance the entire time.

In our recent recap, with Broussard (Tory Kittles) holding the mysterious VIP hostage, the drones were destroying half the city for its retrieval. Will raced against the clock to rescue his wife, but in order to do so, he had to let the rebels flee as well. A swarm of arrests were made against Proxy Snyder and Will's son, Bram. As Will headed off to Santa Monica to find his son, Katie returned home to an empty household. Or do we thought, someone is security watching her every move.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Condal explain the split between Katie and Will, "We really wanted to tell the story of an otherwise happy and loving marriage that had been driven apart and pulled apart by extraordinary events. The only real outcome for this part of the story, at least, was to drive them apart. And we saw them driven apart emotionally and psychologically at the end of episode 9, and we saw them physically pulled apart at the end of episode 10."

Check out what Twitter had to say:
