Daisy Ridley was introduced to the world as Rey, the talented pilot and Force-powerful proto-Jedi in Star Wars: The Force Awakens ... and now, she could be heading up to another big female-powered franchise! The up-and-coming British actress has just confirmed she is in talks to play Angelina Jolie's role in the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider reboot.

Last Sunday, Ridley attended the Empire Awards on London, taking home the prize for best female newcomer (the male one went to her Star Wars co-star John Boyega), and she took a minute to talk with The Hollywood Reporter. The outlet, of course, asked about those persistent rumors that she's being eyed to play Lara Croft, to which she replied that there "have been conversations."

So far, the reboot is in the very early stages of production and there's not even a script yet, and Ridley said she hasn't been offered to play the role of the iconic game character. Still, she sounds super excited about the possibility, even though her schedule is full now that she's committed to the Lucasfilm franchise.

"I'm waiting for someone to say 'I want you, let's do it'," said Ridley. "I'm trying to fill up my calendar!"

Ridley has the support of at least one pal: Boyega. IGN reports that during the same event, the actor who played a stormtrooper turned Resistance pilot in Force Awakens said he played the latest Tomb Raider game (the game has been rebooted and now Lara Croft is portrayed as younger) and he texted Ridley that she'd be perfect for the role, as it's being shaped differently than it was last decade.

Jolie, then fresh from her Oscar win for Girl Interrupted, played the archeologist-adventurer in two films: 2001's Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and its 2003 sequel Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life.
