It's been nearly three years since Queen Elsa and Princess Anna were introduced to the world on 2013's Oscar-winning animated film, Frozen, and little boys and girls all over the world have been expecting to see what happens to the two Arendelle heroines. In a recent interview, Kristen Bell, who voices the princess, confirmed the sequel once and for all and shared that production starts next month!

Bell, currently promoting her latest film, The Boss, recently talked to Collider about her current and upcoming projects, and considering Frozen became such a widespread international phenomenon, it's no wonder the conversation quickly led to the chilly realm of Arendelle and she was asked if she'd already recorded lines for the highly awaited sequel.

"Not yet. We're just about to. They've just written it and they're still doing tweaks, but I think we should be recording this month. The story is great, and they exude quality," Bell said, then explaining why the sequel announcement had taken so long. "It took them a while because they wanted to figure out what story they needed to tell and what would be important and engaging and I think they found it."

Besides pre-production being well underway, songwriting husband-and-wife team Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez (the couple responsible for "Let It Go" and indirectly for the endless covers) are currently working hard on the soundtrack for the upcoming film, though so far they haven't reached out to the cast regarding the new songs.

Bell won't be the only returning member of the original cast, as it seems Idina Menzel (Elsa), Jonathan Groff (Kristoff) and Josh Gad (Olaf) will also be reprising their roles from the blockbuster. Unfortunately, so far Disney hasn't announced a release date for the film, but fans of this universe will still have plenty to celebrate.

As The Independent reports, there's a Broadway musical based on Frozen currently in the works as well and after last year's release of the short Frozen Fever, there's also a holiday special prepped for 2018.
