USA Network's ‘Eyewitness’ Casting: Gil Bellows, James Paxton Joins Julianne Nicholson Pilot!

USA Network has add new casting to the pilot, Eyewitness. From the hit cop drama, Shades of Blue, creator Adi Hasak adds to Gil Bellows, James Paxton, and more to join actress Julianne Nicholson to the cast of the American remake of the Norwegian series.

As we previously mentioned, USA Network has granted a 10-episode arc for the adaptation of the Norwegian crime thriller, Øyevitne. In the plot synopsis, two innocent teenage boys secretly meet up in the forest. They suddenly bear witness to a gruesome shooting. After barely escaping with their lives intact, the two are desperate to keep their relationship a complete secret. They are in fear of being found out by the perpetrator. Though they remain silent, the duo will soon learn the awful truth; what has been seen cannot be unseen. This horrible event they witnessed will change everything forever.

According to Deadline, the cast and their roles are listed as follows:

The son of actor Bill Paxton (Aliens) will play Lukas Hallenbeck, a young teenaged boy who seems destined popularity, motocross stardom, and the hottest girl in school. But beneath the facade, he's deeply conflicted about his sexuality.

Tyler Young will play Philip (Young), a classmate of Lukas who's more comfortable in his skin. Lukas and Philip witness a quadruple murder that will change everything.

The Law & Order: Criminal Intent alum will play Helen Torrance, described as a former big-city homicide detective. After leaving her harrowing career, the small-town sheriff finds herself investigating the gruesome crime.

Tattiawna Jones has landed the role of Kamilah, an unapologetic FBI agent. Kamilah finds her loyalty to her job and at odds with her own troubled sister at odds.When Kamilah's own case intersects with Sheriff Helen Torrance's, they forge an unlikely friendship.

The Ally McBeal actor plays Gabe, a small-town veterinarian in love with Sheriff Helen Torrance (Nicholson) but he cannot get through to her self-destructive cycle of living. But the pressures of fostering Philip (Young) amidst Helen's shocking homicide case threatens to tear their marriage apart.

No word yet on when Eyewitness will make its USA Network debut.
