'Friends' Reunion 2016: Matthew Perry Does Not Want Season 11 to Take Place

The last episode of the American sitcom Friends Season 10 was aired on May 6, 2004. After more than a decade, the comedy series remains one of the favorite comedy sitcoms of all times and fans often speculated that the series will return with a Season 11 but now the show star Matthew Perry has made it clear that a whole new season of Friends is not going to happen.

The six-time People's Choice Awards-winning show, Friends ended with an epic double episode that featured Ross (David Schwimmer) and Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) having a happy conclusion to their on-off romance. The finale also featured Chandler Bing (played by Perry), Monica (Courteney Cox), Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) and Joey (Matt LeBlanc) moving on in their respective lives.

Now, Perry thinks that a reunion will ruin the classic ending of the show.

"That's the concern about doing a reunion show or movie because it ended so well," he tells British talk show This Morning. "We don't want to sort of ruin that. Everybody asks about a reunion and there's been no real talk of that."

Perry further stated that he never regretted his time on the sets of Friends as it was the best thing that could ever happen to him and to the entire cast during that time.

"It was such a great job, we all loved each other so much, and we all had such a wonderful time that subsequent jobs have been harder to do than that one," he added.

Well, this is not the first time reports for Friends reunion have come to light. Earlier this year when Friends director James Burrow had his tribute show, there were several rumors that swirled that the entire cast of Friends are getting together but in an interview with E! Schwimmer made it clear that the entire cast except Perry are getting together, but it is not for a series renewal.
