The Walking Dead Season 6 Finale PHOTOS: Will Danai Gurira's Michonne Meet Lucille?

AMC released photos from the highly anticipated mid-Season 6 finale of The Walking Dead. What will walker slayers, Michonne (Danai Gurira) and Glenn Rhee (Steven Yuen), do when they finally meet with "Lucille?"

In our previous recap, Rosita (Christian Serratos) Daryl were being lectured by Denise when an arrow suddenly struck her eye. Dwight (Austin Amelio) reappeared, holding Daryl's crossbow and Eugene (Josh McDermitt) hostage. As Rosita and Daryl returned fire, Eugene took a bite out of Dwight before he took a bullet for Abraham (Michael Cudlitz). Knowing the team has to retaliate, Carol couldn't continue killing and left Alexandria.

In our recent recap, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Morgan (Lennie James) went off in search of Carol, while Daryl l(Norman Reedus) left Alexandria to seek revenge for Denise's death. Unfortunately, with Glenn and Michonne captured by the Saviors, Dwight had the upper-hand and shot Daryl at point-blank range. Rick came back to Alexandria empty-handed, but only to hear Maggie screaming in pain.

According to Entertainment Weekly, AMC has released two images from the upcoming sixth season finale. The imagery features the first frames of footage of Jeffrey Dean Morgan as the antagonist Negan, leader of The Saviors, who has been mentioned by name only in the previous episodes.

Based on the two images, we still don't see Negan's face, but we get a full glimpse of his weapon of choice. Negan carries with him his baseball bat, which is wrapped in barbed wire, nicknamed Lucille.

In an interview with EW, showrunner Scott Gimple describes the comic book villain, "And Negan is the ultimate version of that bully. And he is an incredible strategist. He can often appear capricious. He is pure id. He is this force of nature. He's charismatic. A lot of villains on shows and comics and everything, it's like, "Oh they're the villain that you love to hate." I think Negan is the villain that you hate to love. But you just love him. And he does some horrible things, but he has a reason for them."

In the 100th issue of The Walking Dead, Negan makes an unforgettable entrance as he cold-heartedly murders a vital member of Rick's crew. In the live-action version, will it be one of the captured, Daryl (Reedus), Rosita (Serratos), Glenn (Yuen), or Michonne (Gurira)?
