Rolling Stones Tour 2013: Band Announces Date for First Stop in LA, North American Tour News, Second Show Added at Hyde Park This Summer, General Sale Tickets Added

With the Rolling Stones announcing the tour dates and locations for their "50 and Counting" 2013 North American tour, along with news of them playing the Glastonbury Festival and Hyde Park this summer, there really are only a couple loose ends left. However, when you're talking about the Rolling Stones, they are still some pretty big loose ends. The latest news surrounding the legendary rock band gives fans the date for their first tour stop in Los Angeles as well as a second stop in London.

When the Rolling Stones announced their 2013 North American tour dates, they were unable to give a specific date for their first tour stop at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Fans only knew that it would be in very early May, but because of the NHL playoffs taking place around that time, fans needed to wait a little bit longer to get a specific date. Well now you have one. May 2 the Rolling Stones are scheduled to perform in L.A. at the Staples Center for the first stop of their tour.

Despite the announcement on the Rolling Stones website, the band still warns that the May 2 date is subject to change depending on the outcome of the NBA and/or NHL playoffs. For now, fans will just have to settle for the tentatively scheduled start of the tour.

In other Rolling Stones news, the band added a second Hyde Park date after the band's July 6 show sold out within minutes. The Rolling Stones will be performing at Hyde Park July 13. Tickets go on sale for the second Hyde Park show on April 12 at 9am. You can purchase tickets here. The band also responded to fan complaints over high ticket prices by announcing that over 1,000 tickets per show were made available as a part of general sale at the price of $85.
