"Arrow" S04E17 "Beacon of Hope" Stephen Amell, Emily Bett Rickards Premiere Recap

The CW Network continues Season 4 of Arrow. In the premiere of episode 17, Beacon of Hope, can Stephen Amell/Green Arrow (Oliver Queen) and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards ) ready to face the return of the Bug-Eyed Bandit as they fight against Damien Dhark (Neal McDonough). 

In prison, The Bug Eyed Badnit (Emily Kinney) is messing around with her records. Ollie is training with Thea (Willa Holland) and Diggle (David Ramsey). Laurel (Katie Cassidy) reveals that she is interested in working for Palmer tech with Felicity. 

In the flashback, Ollie isn't able to shoot down his enemy, Baron Reiter. Ollie is unable to defend  himself as Baron Reiter suddenly has supernatural powers. Ollie then gets his butt handed to him by Baron Reiter. 

Back in the present, Felicity is interested in making the spinal implant work for the present. Thea pays a visit with Felicity as Malcolm (John Barrowman) meets with Damien in visit. The people in charge prefer to have Damien in pirson than help him escape. Laurel talks with Ollie about his breakup with Felicity; it takes longer to heal. 

During the board meeting, bess burst out of a dead executive as Brie Larvan makes her entrance. Brie sends a video to Felicity, demanding her spinal implant as she holds everyone in the board meeting hostage. Palmer Tech is swarmed by robot bees, trapping everyone inside.

Captain Lance (Paul Blackthorne) shows up at the Arrow cave, realizing this attack is payback. Felicity has ten minutes to show herself or the Bug-Eyed Bandit starts killing. Felicity discovers a way out through the ventilation system. 

Before passing out, Curtis unexpectedly discovers the Arrow cave, which makes Ollie upset. As Damien fights off the other inmates, the bees start chasing after Felicity and her mother. After waking up, Curtis realizes he has to hack into the robot bees before the team can enter Palmer Tech.  

Curtis communicates with Felicity after he hacks into one of the bees. When the Green Arrow shows up, the Exoskeleton takes shape and stings him, preventing felicity and the others from escaping. Back at the hideout, the bee is inside Ollie and replicating itself. 

Brie sends a message to Felicity, giving her 5 minutes left. As Felicity gets an idea, Laurel's high frequency scream can disrupt the robot bees and force them out of his system. After hijacking the elevator, Felicity blows up the wall to the conference room. While the board members make their escape, Felicity and Thea face-off against Brie. 

The two discover Brie is also sick and needs the spinal implant. After scolding Curtis, Ollie has lost sight of the mission without Felicity. As Thea argues with Felicity, Curtis has loaded a virus to Ollie's arrow. Brie now wants revenge against Felicity for sending her to prison.

Elsewhere after orchestrating a murder, Damien is able to send out a message. After the Green Arrow takes a beating from the Exoskeleton, Brie ends up shooting him. Curtis saves the day and has the bees attack Brie. 

Felicity admits to Thea that she wants to make Palmer Tech into the beacon of hope. Malcolm is talking with John Diggel's brother to get Damien out of prison.
