When rumors about Ben Affleck working with Warner Bros. Entertainment COO Geoff Johns on a script for a possible Batman solo film start making rounds on the internet, fans immediately take notice -- now it looks like the speculations have been confirmed: Affleck has just written a Batman script, and it's "really cool!"

The Hollywood Reporter dropped the news after a lengthy interview with the CEOs at Affleck's talent agency WME-IMG. According to Patrick Whitesell, the agency's co-CEO (with Ari Emanuel), the Batman v Superman star is confirmed for two more DC flicks and has lent his writing talents on one more film.

"He's contracted to do at least Justice League One and Two, so at least three times wearing the cape," Whitesell said of Affleck before sharing that the Gone Girl actor has another project that he's worked on.

"There's a script that he's written that is a really cool [Batman] idea, so that's out there as an option," he added.

It's no secret that the actor is more than just a talented actor and director. After all, he won an Academy Award for the Good Will Hunting script that he co-wrote with Matt Damon.

Affleck has previously teased on a collaboration with Johns, and it's easy to see why fans immediately speculated that he was talking about the solo Batman movie.

"He and I are working together on something and I really am excited about it and I love him," he told DC All Access of Johns. "He's the best."

It certainly sounds like Affleck will be pitching the whole idea of a Batman film to Warner Bros. however the project has not yet been addressed by the studio in its DC Extended Universe lineup. Nevertheless, the good news is already getting some positive response so hopefully, the script will be approved so we could see more of Affleck's Dark Knight in the future.
