It's not easy to be a blue shape-shifting mutant, but it looks like Jennifer Lawrence isn't quite ready to give up her role as Mystique in the highly successful X-Men film trilogy. The Serena actress has just confirmed that she is "dying to come back" as Raven after X-Men: Apocalypse has concluded!

Lawrence was recently spoke to Empire on the set of Apocalypse, where she revealed that she is hoping that she could still return as Mystique in future movies.

"I am dying to come back," Lawrence admitted to the magazine, adding that she enjoys working on the X-Men films.

"I love these movies, I love being in them," she declared before explaining why she wants to keep working on films with an ensemble cast.

"I love ensemble movies because it's not on anyone's shoulders," Lawrence said.

However, the Hunger Games star's enthusiasm for having to once again sit in a makeup artist's chair for more than 8 hours doesn't necessarily mean that she will be returning as the blue-skinned mutant.

The report also reveals that Apocalypse marks the end of the current X-Men trilogy and will also be the last film on the contracts of actors like Nicholas Hoult, Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy. There is a possibility that it will also be Lawrence's final movie in her contract.

Lawrence had previously announced that Apocalypse will be her last X-Men film, "sadly," hinting that she is eager to reprise the role in the future.

X-Men: Apocalypse is directed by Bryan Singer and will introduce a slew of actors as the younger versions of established mutants. Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner will play young Jean Grey, Goosebumps' Tye Sheridan will portray a teenaged Scott Summers/Cyclops while Alexandra Shipp will be taking over Halle Berry's role as Storm. The film will drop into theaters on May 27.
