After scaring the minds of viewers with The Walking Dead, creator Robert Kirkman brings Cinemax his horror/exorcism drama, Outcast. Before the official premiere, check out Patrick Fugit and Philip Glenister in the frightening Season One Promo.

As we previously mentioned, from Skybound, an imprint of Image Comics, the new horror series features follows Kyle Barnes (Fugit), who has had been plagued by demonic possession all his life. Elsewhere, Reverend Anderson (Glenister), a hard drinking and gambling West Virginian evangelical preacher. The good preacher with personal demons of his own. Each desperate for answers, the two will embark on a supernatural journey to find answers as Kyle hopes to regain the normal life he lost.

In an interview with Bloody Disgusting, You're Next director Adam Winged describes dating the comic book material, "Fortunately for me all I can do really is put what was on the page and Robert [Kirkman, the creator] was a great guide in that sense that he has a very distinctive idea of what the tone and everything was. I come from a more humorous horror background. A lot of the stuff I have has humor in it and the horror that I've done in the past has a lot of jump scares and things of that nature."

Fugit describes his character, "For me what's interesting about Kyle is his story is dark and his circumstances are very dark, but I like to try to get across that Kyle's a very bright person and has a very bright arc and has these circumstances that surround him in darkness. That's what he succumbs to when we meet him in the first episode and any character that appears one way but inwardly is something else is interesting to me."

The promo features Kyle suspicious of weird going-ons in his town. Something is screaming at Reverend Anderson as he holds the cross. He warns, "They're all around us!"

Outcast premieres on Cinemax on Friday, June 3 at 10pm.
