Finally, Superman fans get to see some brand new photos from this summer's "Man of Steel." Entertainment Weekly highlights the latest Superman movie in their latest issue, with a cover photo of Henry Cavill as Superman. Inside the issue, fans get to see a number of never before seen pictures from the movie, including a shot of the film's main villain Zod. "Man of Steel" is set to be released June 14, and is being directed by Zack Snyder with a number of big name stars including Russell Crowe as Jor-El, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, and Diane Lane.

Warner Bros. has been relatively guarded when it comes to "Man of Steel," but we have been able to get a few tidbits involving the film. From the look of the movie's trailer and first TV spot, it seems like Superman will be getting a little bit of a darker and a more human angle, not unlike the "Dark Knight" Batman. It also has been revealed in the Entertainment Weekly story, that the "Man of Steel" Superman will not be facing off against Kryptonite. In an attempt to humanize Clark Kent, director Zack Snyder is going away from the typical Superman plot line. "I'll be honest with you, there's no Kryptonite in the movie," Snyder told EW.

In the pictures revealed in Ewe's "Man of Steel" story, fans get their first look at Laurence Fishburne Perry White as wel as Michael Shannon's General Zod. Fans also get new looks at Amy Adams' Lois Lane, Kevin Costner, and Diane Lane.

"Man of Steel" will be a potential summer blockbuster that will have to be watched closely. It sounds like Snyder and Christopher Nolan are taking the film in an entirely different direction than fans have seen Superman go on the big screen. Will fans enjoy a darker, more humanistic approach to Superman? It will be interesting to see if fans and critics respond to Henry Cavill's Superman in this summer's "Man of Steel."
