Season 12 of "American Idol" started off with bang when new judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey got into headline grabbing argument at the beginning of "Idol" tapings. However, there is another singer that has stolen the show from those demanding divas. 23-year-old Candice Glover has wowed the judges and America with her singing this season, putting her among the top 6 contestants. The South Carolinian had what may have been the best performance all season last night (Wednesday) on "American Idol" when she performed the Cure's "Lovesong." It was so good, she even got a glitter bomb from Mariah Carey.

Glover has been one of the front runners all season long. Along with Amber Holcomb, Kree Harrison, and Angie Miller, Glover has impressed the judges with each singing performance. Every week these female singers have put forth solid efforts, making season 12 of "American Idol" a female dominated field.

Although we don't know how America will vote heading into Thursday night's results show, one thing should be for certain, Candice Glover is safe. With one male remaining out of the top 6 contestants, it certainly seems like Lazaro Arbos will be eliminated next. Even if Glover were somehow voted off, you would have to think the judges would use their one save of the season to bring Glover back.

Fans shouldn't worry though as Glover seems like the favorite to become the season 12 winner of "American Idol." Last night, Glover once again knocked it out of the park with her performance of the Cure's "Lovesong." You can watch the performance below and see for yourself.

Glover was so good she got a standing ovation from the judges, prompting Keith Urban to bow down before Glover. Carey then walked up on stage and threw glitter on Glover. Randy Jackson remarked that Glover's performance was one of the greatest in the history of "American Idol." With all that praise we know who the judges would vote for. Will America feel the same way?
