Vince Gilligan's Better Call Saul has given its viewers many moments that reminded them of Breaking Bad. The show follows the characters Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), Tuco Salamanca (Raymond Cruz) and, most recently, Hector 'Tio' Salamanca (Mark Margolis). Now fans are eagerly waiting to see Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) in the ongoing Season 2 of Better Call Saul. And now it looks like fans will get to see Pinkman again in the near future.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly Radio, 36-year-old Paul stated that he has had talks with the producers of Better Call Saul about his appearance in the upcoming season but everyone, including him, thinks that if a prominent character like Pinkman has to appear in the series, then there should be some exciting scene behind it.

"They're not just going to throw Jesse in the mix just so the fans can say, 'Oh, look, it's Jesse walking in the background.' It needs to make sense to the show," Paul said.

In the Breaking Bad world, Pinkman was the partner and crystal-cooking assistant of Walter White (Brian Cranston) and for his performance he has been nominated for many awards -- including Primetime Emmy, Screen Actors Guild Award, and Golden Globe Award -- and went on to win the Critics' Choice Television Award for the Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2012.

Better Call Saul is a prequel to Breaking Bad and happens years before the event showed in it. The time difference might cause some problems for a Pinkman cameo. Paul, who was last seen in Triple 9, was quoted by People as responding:

"It (Better Call Saul) takes place years before Walt and Jesse ever came into the mix. So how old Jesse would be? Middle school? High school? I don't know. It would be pretty great to see Jesse in that skin."

Season 2 of Better Call Saul will return on AMC on April 4, 2016, with a brand new episode titled "Fifi".
