Simon Fuller is the genius behind the singing competition television series, American Idol, which helped him skyrocket his net worth. As the final season of the hit show draws to a close, the show's creator has revealed that he is already working on a comeback version, but this time he is planning to make some changes.

“The next generation of Idol — and Idol will certainly be coming back for sure — will have a youthful glow, and it will be pioneering again, just as it was when we first began,” Fuller told The Hollywood Reporter.

This isn’t just an idea for the successful artist manager and television producer. He noted that there’s actually “no doubt” that there will be “another format or refinement or elevation of the format.” However, he revealed that this will not be the Idol that fans have known and loved for the past 15 years.

"Now I can actually revamp it and come up with a new version," he said. "And we can look back on 15 seasons and think of some legitimate ways to allow people to enjoy them again, maybe adding another dimension to it."

Hollywood Life previously reported that one of the judges, Harry Connick Jr., said he assumed the show would return.

Idol‘s going to go away, and I wouldn’t be surprised if, at some point, it came back,” he told the site. “You notice they’re not calling it the final season. They’re calling it the farewell season.”

While his name may not be as instantly familiar as some of the artists whose careers he has masterminded, Fuller has proved to be one of the most influential men in pop history and is today worth around $650 million according to Celebrity Net Worth.
