Real Madrid are on a high of sorts after their victory over FC Barcelona in the 2016 El Clasico match this weekend, but today's first leg game UEFA Champions League quarter-finals game against VfL Wolfsburg won't be a cakewalk. Though the El Clasico victory is fresh on our minds, Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane told the media that the team is focused on the Champions League today.
"We cannot relax. We are not untouchable and Wolfsburg are able to hurt us," the football legend said, according to BBC Sport. "Wolfsburg have fought hard and deserve to be here. It will be a tough match but we are well prepared. They may have had problems in the Bundesliga, but this is a completely different competition. They have a fast attack so we have to be alert."
Meanwhile, the German side's manager, Dieter Hecking, spoke to reporters about taking on the football powerhouse, explaining that his team is excited for the challenge.
"Motivation won't be a problem. We have a big chance to perform on a great stage," the coach said, according to UEFA.com. "Nobody thought we could get this far. But in the end I still say: 'This must not be the end for us.' We will look for our opportunity, even with this draw, and if we beat Real it would be one of the biggest sensations. So this is what we want to begin tomorrow."
