USA Network's ‘Eyewitness’ Cast: Warren Christie Joins Julianne Nicholson, Gil Bellows Pilot!

USA Network has added a new cast member to the pilot, Eyewitness. From the hit cop drama, Shades of Blue, creator Adi Hasak adds Warren Christie with Gil Bellows and Julianne Nicholson to the American remake of the Norwegian series.

As we previously mentioned, USA Network has granted a 10-episode arc for the adaptation of the Norwegian crime thriller, Øyevitne. In the plot synopsis, two innocent teenage boys secretly meet up in the forest. They suddenly bear witness to a gruesome shooting. After barely escaping with their lives intact, the two are desperate to keep their relationship a complete secret. They are in fear of being found out by the perpetrator. Though they remain silent, the duo will soon learn the awful truth; what has been seen cannot be unseen. This horrible event they witnessed will change everything forever.

James Paxton will play Lukas Hallenbeck, a young teenaged boy who seems destined popularity, motocross stardom, and the hottest girl in school. But beneath the facade, he's deeply conflicted about his sexuality. Tyler Young plays Philip, a classmate of Lukas who's more comfortable in his skin. Lukas and Philip witness a quadruple murder that will change everything.

Helen Torrance (Nicholson) is described as a former big-city homicide detective. After leaving her detective career behind, the small-town sheriff finds herself investigating the gruesome crime. Gabe (Bellows), a small-town veterinarian, is in love with Helen, but he cannot get through to her self-destructive cycle of living.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Chicago Fire alum has landed himself a series regular role. Ryan Kane (Christie) is a man spiraling into an abyss of violence. After committing a series of passion-fueled murders., Kane hunts for the two eyewitnesses (Young and Paxton) to his crime. Now Ryan and Sheriff Helen Torrance will play a sinister game of cat and mouse.

No word yet on when Eyewitness will make its USA Network debut.
