New Jersey Hall of Fame Inducts Class of 2015: Inductees Include Derek Jeter and Jon Stewart

Last night, New Jersey welcomed in its newest Hall of Fame members. Held at the Asbury Park Convention Center, the Garden State inducted New Jersey natives like Jon Stewart and Derek Jeter.

This years list of inductees also included author James Fenimore Cooper, Fox Studio founder William Fox, philanthropists Lewis Katz and Bernard Marcus, the legendary R&B band Kool and the Gang, comedian Jon Stewart, Medal of Honor recipient Jack H. Jacobs, U.S. Senator Frank R. Lautenberg, New York Yankees player Derek Jeter, U.S. Women's national soccer team captain Christie Rampone, ESPN college basketball commentator Dick Vitale and Morgan Stanley executive Carla Harris.

The people celebrated at last night's event, showing off the enormous amount of Jersey citizens and their accomplishments which span across nearly every volume of American history. Those who have survived war to those who have rebounded from rejections and failure are only some who make up the list. They have truly honored people from all across the board this year. The list of inductees gives millions of New Jersey citizens endless amounts of hope and inspiration for years to come that nothing is impossible.

Since 2008, the New Jersey Hall of Fame has inducted nearly 100 groups and individuals. The Hall of Fame honors its citizens who have made a crucial impact on society. It also honors those who have made invaluable contribution to not only New Jersey but the world as well. The groups endeavors are to present school children with role models that are significant and people they can look up to. They aim to show the children that they can and should strive for excellence.
