MTV's Scream Season 2 Spoilers: Willa Fitzgerald Premiere Date, Teaser Trailer

MTV has released an all-new Season 2 promo for their horror/comedy drama, Scream. Based on the Scream movies by Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson, will Emma Duval (Willa Fitzgerald) and Piper Shaw (Amelia Rose Blaire) ready to face each other in the teaser trailer of their premiere date?

As we previously mentioned, the MTV drama kicked off after a cyber-bullying incident resulted in a brutal murder. The shocking violence stirs up memories of a killing spree from the past. A group of new teens, led by Emma Duval (Fitzgerald), find themselves being stalked by a masked killer who's out for blood. The Lakewood serial killer, aka Ghostface, actually turned out to be Piper Shaw (Blaire).

We also mentioned, the freshmen drama's showrunners will be stepping down from their roles on the teen slasher show. Former showrunners Jill Blotevogal and Jaime Paglia will not be returning to their posts when production for the sophomore season begins. Blotevogal will remain on the series as a consultant, but Paglia is leaving the series entirely. Michael Gans and Richard Register (both of whom worked on Make It or Break It) have taken over for the show's sophomore season.

According to TV Line, a 30-second teaser was released featuring the surviving characters. There will also be a slew of new characters, new victims for the death count including overachiever Zoe (Kiana Lede) and a brooding outsider named Gustavo (Santiago Segura), psychology teacher Karen Lang (Austin Highsmith), and Tina Hudson (Karina Logue).

On the official Twitter account, the caption states, "So thirsty for blood, we're coming back sooner than expected. #MTVScream Season 2 now premieres May 30th on @MTV."

Because the date was originally set for Tuesday May 31st, it's unclear if the episodes will air at the planned time slot of 10pm.

Scream Season 2 premieres on MTV Monday, May 30.
