NBC's Blindspot Spoilers: Twitter Reacts Ashley Johnson, Joe Dinicol Patterson/David Twist

NBC continues with the midseason return of Blindspot. Twitter had lots to say about Patterson (Ashley Johnson) and David (Joe Dinicol)'s shocking twist as she went on her own to solve with Jane Doe/Taylor Shaw (Jaimie Alexander)'s tattoos.

In our previous recap, as Kurt (Sullivan Stapleton) and the team investigated the missing mission chemical canisters, Patterson received a posthumous message from David, who had reserved a table at their restaurant. After an intense shootout at the Nasdaq building in Times Square, Kurt shacked up with Allie (Trieste Kelly Dunn) as Jane got hot and heavy with Oscar (François Arnaud). During dinner, as the ghost of David appeared to her, Patterson realized he had solved another one of Jane's tattoos.

In our recent recap, on her own solo mission, Patterson followed David's clues, which led her being ambushed at an antiques shop. When Bethany Mayfair (Marianne Jean-Baptiste) realized her star pupil was missing, she called in Kurt and the team to find her. After being kidnapped by the shop owner, Patterson untied herself and sought help far out in the woods. Kurt and Jane arrived in the nick of time to save Patterson from her abductors. Though she uncovered a government conspiracy, Patterson couldn't let go of David as his ghost asked her to move on.

In an interview with Yahoo! TV, Johnson describes her character arc, "She goes back out into the field, and crazy stuff happens. Dealing with the tragedy of David, she got to a point where she's a little more bold and maybe a little more reckless, doing things she wouldn't ordinarily do."
