'Catching Fire' Movie Trailer Released at MTV Movie Awards, WATCH: 'The Hunger Games' Sequel Teaser Sparks Fans' Excitement

The odds were "ever in our favor" Sunday night when MTV premiered the first official "Catching Fire" trailer (presented by cast member Liam Hemsworth) at the end of the MTV Movie Awards ceremony.

This teaser video, which features returning cast members Jennifer Lawrence as "Katniss," Josh Hutcherson as "Peeta," and Liam Hemsworth as "Gale," caught the attention of "The Hunger Games" fans, who have been anxiously anticipating the sequel movie, out in theaters November 22nd. Along with the cast from the first 'Hunger Games' movie who will be reprising their roles, a new major cast member has been added to the follow-up moviel. Philip Seymour Hoffman will be playing the role of the new Head Gamemaker 'Plutarch Heavensbee,' who appears to be plotting to "eliminate" the 'Girl on Fire' with 'President Snow' (Donald Sutherland):

"I think she should die but in the right way, at the right time," reveals Plutarch Heavensbee to Snow. "Katniss Everdeen is a symbol. You don't have to destroy her, just her image. Show her that she is one of us now. Let them rally behind that. They're going to hate her so much they might just kill her for you."

Another shocking revelation seen in the trailer above is a kiss shared between Katniss and Gale!! Has Katniss officially decided to join "Team Gale" in the second 'Hunger Games' movie?

The release of the first 'Catching Fire' movie trailer has seemingly ignited excitement as it trends on Twitter :
