'Twilight' Star Kristen Stewart Surprises With Cameo in 'The Huntsman: Winter's War'

Chris Hemsworth is back with the sequel/prequel to his 2012 British-American fantasy film, Snow White and the Huntsman. The first film in the series also had Twilight star, Kristen Stewart in the lead role and now if reports are to be believed then she is going to make a surprise cameo in The Huntsman: Winter's War.

Stewart played the role of Snow White in director Rupert Sanders' Snow White and The Huntsman. The film also featured Hemsworth in the role of Eric, the Huntsman, Charlize Theron as the evil Queen Ravenna and Sam Clafin as William. The film followed the story of Snow White who, after her father's murder by sorceress Ravenna, goes on and learn to defeat her with Eric's help. The film was made against a budget of $170 millions and it earned a whopping $396.6 millions at the box-office. Not only this, the film managed to earn itself two Academy Award nominations for Best Visual Effects and Best Costume Designs.

During the shooting of the film, Stewart was in a serious relationship with her Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson but everything touched rock bottom when Us Weekly released pictures of Stewart getting close with Sanders. The media outburst and disapproval from Twilight fans, hyped the Snow White and the Huntsman. The alleged scandal broke two relationships - - Pattinson broke off everything with Stewart and soon after that got engaged with FKA Twigs; and Sanders' wife, Liberty Ross, filed for divorce.

After the overhyped Stewart-Sanders scandal, there were reports that Snow White will not be getting a sequel as the story for the second part was written for Stewart only. However, it was reported that Stewart will reprise her role of Snow White in the sequel. A few months later, it was reported that Snow White is getting a prequel titled, The Huntsman: Winter's War and Stewart won't be reprising her role in the film as the new movie will feature events before her time.

In a recent revelations by Uproxx, it looks like Stewart is going to have a cameo at the start of the film. Her cameo will be shown in the opening montage shot only and she won't be featured for a longer duration in the film.

Winter's War is slated to release on April 22, 2016.
