The X-Files: Season 11: David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson's Mulder/Scully Comic Eisner 2016 Nod

IDW Publishing continues to fight the future with The X-Files: Season 11 #8.  The comic book series starring FBI agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson), have earned a nomination from the Will Eisner 2016 Awards.

As we previously mentioned, Season 11 follows Mulder as he continues to run away from the law. As a wanted fugitive, Mulder dodges the authorities wherever they may be hiding. After being cleared from all charges, the government though continues to keep a close eye on Scully. With the all-powerful Gibson Praise controlling the investigative duo like puppets, how long will it take before everyone becomes under his possession?

According to the official IDW Publishing website, the 2016 Eisner Award nominations have been released. IDW Publishing and its imprints, Top Shelf, The Library of American Comics, and Yoe! Books have been recognized with nine nominations and one shared nomination. The Eisner Award celebrates exemplary work from the past year in comic books. Congressman John Lewis' March: Book Two, and Jennifer Hayden's intimate and personal experience with breast cancer, The Story of My Tits, have earned nods as well.

Top Shelf Productions Editor-in-Chief Chris Staros states, "We're very proud of the literary achievements of March, The Story of My Tits, and Troy Little's adaptation of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and grateful to the Eisners for the five nominations this year. This will go a long way in helping spread their educational and life-affirming messages to an even larger audience."

Jordie Bellaire has been nominated for Best Coloring in her works, including Pretty Deadly,(Image Comics); The X-Files (IDW); The Massive (Dark Horse Comics), Vision (Marvel Comcis).
