Although there is no chance that Harry Potter, Ron Weasley or Hermione Granger will pop up in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, there is still a possibility that one of J.K. Rowling's most beloved characters will be featured in the upcoming plot. Dan Fogler has just hinted that a young Albus Dumbledore might actually make an appearance alongside Eddie Redmayne's Newt Scamander!

Fogler, who will play Jacob Kowalski in the Rowling prequel, recently spoke to MTV News, where he teased about possible appearances from established Harry Potter characters.

"As the stories go along, you will hear mention of your favorite characters, and you may meet their young counterparts along the way," he revealed.

The statement immediately had fans speculating that Dumbledore will be one of these characters, since the Hogwarts headmaster has already been referred to in the Fantastic Beasts trailer as someone who believes in Newt. In Rowling's book series, Dumbledore was born in 1881 and would be in his late thirties by the time Newt heads to New York City in search of strange and magical creatures.

Dumbledore is undoubtedly one of the most recognizable characters from the Harry Potter films although he has been played by two different actors. Richard Harris played the wizard in the first two films before he passed away in 2002. Michael Gambon then took over the role in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and even caused some controversy over how his Dumbledore reacted in The Goblet of Fire (in the book, the character had "calmly" asked Harry if he had placed his name in the goblet, while Gambon exploded with anger in the film, grabbing the young student and demanding an answer).

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will hit theaters on November 18.
