Anyone who has seen Game of Thrones can confidently conclude that Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) will soon be coming to Westeros to claim the Iron Throne, as long as she finds a way to escape or control the Dothraki horde that has taken her in the Season 5 finale. But is it possible that Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) will prove to be a better ruler of the Seven Kingdoms than Dany will ever be?

The possibility was raised by io9 in an article that took note of Sansa's good and bad points and came with the conclusion that Ned Stark's eldest daughter would be a better ruler than the Mother of Dragons.

The rant takes note of the fact that Sansa has lived most of her life in Westeros and knows its people. While Daenerys has grown up in Essos, making her unaware of how to deal with the continent. In addition to that, Sansa is tightly connected with the leaders of Westeros and has probably taken notes on what would make an excellent ruler. On the other hand, Dany has a rather unpleasant experience with ruling Meereen, which ended with her having to abandon the city on her beloved Drogon.

But does it prove that Sansa will do a better job ruling Westeros? A research paper has previously declared Sansa to be the third most important character in Game of Thrones (the first two are Peter Dinklage's Tyrion Lannister and Kit Harington's Jon Snow) because of her connections around Westeros, while Dany doesn't even make the Top 5.

Although it is undeniable that Sansa has the connections, name and rank to seat her at the Iron Throne, it's still highly unlikely that her story arc would involve being the ruler of the Seven Kingdoms. After all, she has other things to worry about, like getting away from Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon).

Game of Thrones Season 6 will premiere on HBO on April 24.

Do you think Sansa would be a better leader than Dany? Let us know in the comments.
