'Jason Bourne 5' 2016 Trailer: Matt Damon, Julia Stiles Are Back With Tommy Lee Jones! [WATCH]

Matt Damon reprises his role as the action hero we all know and love. Bourne is back, alongside Julia Stiles and Tommy Lee Jones, and he remembers everything. The new 2016 trailer for Jason Bourne 5  is filled with incredible action scenes and Damon looking hotter than ever.

The thrilling trailer for Jason Bourne, out this July, sees Damon returning to the series after last appearing in The Bourne Ultimatum in 2007 and being absent from 2012's The Bourne Legacy, which starred Jeremy Renner as a new character.

“I know who I am,” Damon's character says in the trailer. “I remember. I remember everything.”

The trailer shows Damon out in the desert delivering a one-hit knockout punch before working his way back to bed in a sweaty room and reminiscing about his past.

Thanks to the events of the previous Bourne trilogy, the ex-secret agent has his memory back, but as Julia Stiles says in the new clip, "remembering everything doesn't mean you know everything."

His return catches everyone by surprise. Everyone’s trying to figure why he’s back and if he’s a friend or a foe. Jason is having quite the identity crisis and Tommy Lee Jones’ character gives him a little advice towards the end of the trailer. “You’re never going to find any peace,” he tells Jason. “Not until you admit to yourself who you really are.”

Stiles returns as Nicky Parsons in the film; the actress was also absent from the Renner-helmed installment. Ex Machina's Alicia Vikander, Black Swan's Vincent Cassel and Vinyl's Ato Essandoh will also star in Jason Bourne, which will hit the movie theaters on July 29th, and will become one of Universal Pictures' first 4K Blu-rays later this year.

Damon revealed to BBC that it was tough getting back into shape to reprise his iconic role saying, "For the first Bourne movie I was 29 and I thought that was hard work getting into shape. Now I'm 45 and it's just brutal. We shot this bare-knuckle fighting scene on my 45th birthday and it was a lot of work to get there. I was on a very strict diet and spent a lot of time in the gym just making myself miserable."

He then joked, "So maybe for the next one Jason Bourne will be fat and happy and old!"
