The 15th Anniversary edition of the 'Voodoo Music Experience' 2013 in New Orlens has announced its first 15 acts in this year's lineup! The three-day music and arts festival "ritual" will once again be taking place during Halloween weekend (November 1st-3rd) and will be headlined by Pearl Jam, Calvin Harris, Nine Inch Nails, Bassnectar, and Mackelmore & Ryan Lewis at Voddoo's "new permant home" at the City Park Festival Grounds in NOLA, reports Billboard.

The first 15 Voodoo acts that concert-goers can look forward to "worshipping" are: Pearl Jam, Nine Inch Nails,Calvin Harris, Bassnectar, Paramore, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Afrojack, Boys Noize, The Gaslight Anthem, Big Gigantic, How To Destroy Angels, Cults, Alkaline Trio, Desaparecidos and Robert DeLong.

This will be Pearl Jam's Voodoo debut and their first show in New Orleans since 2010.

"New Orleans is one of the most musically and culturally rich cities in the world," says Mike McCready of Pearl Jam.  "We've played some of our most memorable shows there and can't wait to return this November."

This will be Nine Inch Nails's fourth time playing at 'Voodoo' Fest. NIN's Trent Reznor, a former New Orleans resident who was given the keys to the city when NIN played a free, post-Katrina Voodoo in 2005, is re-launching Nine Inch Nails since going on hiatus in 2009.

Voodoo 2013 will have six unique performance areas, each of which is enhanced by the use of interactive art, according to their website.

"Each year Voodoo is an independent roll of the dice with its own challenges and memories," said Stephen Rehage, the founder/producer of the Voodoo Music Experience. "The few times I allow myself to reflect on what Voodoo has accomplished in 15 years, I realize that I'm incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to do what I love with a team of incredibly talented people who work every year to create  the experience.  And we're just getting warmed up for Halloween weekend in New Orleans."

As the event's website describes, "A celebrated group of visionary local, national and international artists will again be invited to create large scale, site-specific pieces using the landscape of the park and the culture of Voodoo as context."

"Credentials" (wristbands) and camping passes for VOODOO 2013 are available now.  Prices are as follows: Three-day weekend credentials: $175; Loa VIP credentials: $500; Loa VIP credentials with parking: $550.

The times and dates for 'Voodoo' 2013 are:

Friday, November 1: 10:30 AM-11:00 PM

Saturday, November 2: 10:30 AM-11:00 PM

Sunday, November 3: 10:30 AM-9:00 PM

The 2013 daily schedules will be released on September 5. As enticing as the first 15 acts already are, stay tuned for the rest of the festival lineup.

Last year's 2012 Voodoo experience featured artists like Green Day, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Jack White, Skrillex, The Avett Brothers, Kaskade, Justice, Silversun Pickups, and AWOLNATION.

So when the summer festival season comes to an end, just remember there's always Halloween Weekend to look forward to at NOLA where you can "worship the music" and experience a "ritual' like no other festival.
