AMC's 'Humans' Season 2 Cast: Bella Dayne Joins Carrie-Anne Moss, Colin Morgan, Gemma Chan!

The sci-fi drama, Humans, will return for Season 2 on AMC. Joining the star-studded cast, Carrie-Anne Moss, Bella Thayne, and Sam Palladio have been added with regulars Leo (Colin Morgan), synth Anita (Gemma Chan).

From our first season recaps, synth Anita (Chan) has been programmed to take care of the upper-middle-class family, known as The Hawkins. What the Hawkins do not realize is that Anita is not who she really is. Anita is part of the group of missing synths who are on the run from a gang of hunters. Not only is Leo (Morgan) looking nonstop for Anita and the others, he believes Dr. George Millican (Hurt) holds the key to discovering the missing puzzle between robots and humans.

According to Deadline, the AMC drama is based on the Swedish science fiction drama Real Humans. Writers Sam Vincent and Jonathan Brackley will be back for the next batch of eight episodes. Dayne joins the growing cast as she is currently starring in her lead in ITV's Roman-set comedy Plebs. The role this 27-year-old Brit actress is being kept under wraps.

TV Line adds, The Matrix actress has landed the series-regular role of Dr. Athena Morrow. A pre-eminent Artificial Intelligence expert, Morrow (Moss) is driven by her own motives to create a new kind of machine consciousness.

The Nashville actor Palladio, will be seen in the recurring role of Ed. A struggling café owner, Ed (Palladio) attempts to breathe life into his family business.

Marshall Allman will appear as Milo Khoury, a young Silicon Valley billionaire, founder and CEO of a leading technology company.
