Cody Simpson, Big Sean In UN Celebrity 'Impossible Choices' PSA For World Humanitarian Summit

Before the World Humanitarian summit, the United Nations (UN) has put together a celebrity Public Service Announcement (PSA) entitled Impossible Choices, to inspire global leadership. Cody Simpson, Big Sean, Daniel Craig and more take action for those in need of humanitarian assistance.

According to the official Impossible Choices website, the United Nations has launched a global, interactive digital experience. The digital challenge will present a three-minute, online journey based on real experiences people in crises face themselves. The aim of this digital media is to that aim inspire change in the name of humanity.

Stephen O'Brien, UN Humanitarian Chief, states, "Arguably one of the most powerful tools at our disposal today is social media - it can give a voice to the voiceless, create instant awareness and drive change in ways never before seen around the world," said Stephen O'Brien, UN Humanitarian Chief. With Impossible Choices, we are calling upon the digitally-connected to help create a movement towards showing world leaders that the world is looking to them to make bold decisions and act for the good of humanity."

Among the celebrities in the video are Forest Whitaker, Rosario Dawson, Michael Douglas, Alfre Woodard, Yara Shahidi, Mallika Sherawat, Catarina Furtado and Princess Haya Bint and Al Hussein. Together they speak passionately about the current refugee crisis. There are displaced men, women and children without healthcare, education, and under constant fear of violence.

According to Just Jared, Gigi Hadid's former ex gave up his Twitter account to Syrian refugee, Thair Orfahli, during 2015's World Humanitarian Day. On Simpson's Twitter, Orfahli documented the journey he made from Syria to Austria to flee from civil war and the Islamist terror group Isis.

In the tweet, "On a boat to Italy w/ 234 other refugees and migrants. Their strength is unbelievable. #ShareHumanity -@ThairDamascus"

The World Humanitarian Summit takes place in Istanbul from May 23 - 24.
