Well it is official. The most telegraphed moment in Game of Thrones history has finally been revealed. Jon Snow is alive. Ever since the shocking Season 5 death, Kit Harington and the show’s producers have all been denying his rumored resurrection. Now, Harington is offering up a mea culpa to his fans for putting through nearly a year of distress. Check out the report below to see Harington apologize to his fans for telling one of the whitest lies ever told.

Jon Snow fans can now breath a great big gaspy sigh of relief. The Lord Commander of the Night's Watch was brought back to life thanks to a hair cut and sponge bath from Melisandre.

Following Sunday’s big reveal Entertainment Weekly released a video of Kit Harington apologizing to fans for deceiving them for months, saying:

“Sorry! I’d like to say sorry for lying to everyone. I’m glad that people were upset that he died. I think my biggest fear was that people were not going to care. Or it would just be, ‘Fine, Jon Snow’s dead.’ But it seems like people had a-- similar to the ‘Red Wedding’ episode -- kind of grief about it. Which means something I’m doing -- or the show is doing -- is right.”

Many fans of the series were able to predict Snow’s resurrection at the hands of Melisandre. Carice Van Houten denied these rumors back in February during an interview with The Wall Street Journal. However, there may be some truth to her statement. Snow wasn’t immediately resurrected until his direwolf Ghost woke up.
