Britney Spears New Song: 'Ooh La La' Featured on 'The Smurfs 2' Movie Soundtrack; Star's Twitter Reveals Track Will Release 'Soon'

Scream and shout...Britney's back with another new song! The mega pop star let her fans know via Twitter on Wednesday that they can look forward to "Ooh La La," featured on The Smurfs 2 movie soundtrack, releasing "soon."

Spears tweeted:

"Remember that surprise song I recorded for my boys? It's coming soon! #OohLaLa for #TheSmurfs2 :) Stay tuned for more..."

As a press release from today revealed, Britney Spears will release a song for Columbia Pictures/Sony Pictures Animation's highly anticipated family comedy The Smurfs 2, entitled "Ooh La La," via Kemosabe / RCA Records. "Ooh La La," will play at the end credits of the film, which will be out in theaters July 31, 2013.

Spears first hinted at recording a special surprise song for her "boys" on January 30, when she tweeted:

"I'm at the studio recording a new song for my boys. They are going to freak out when they hear it. So excited!"

Although a few months ago it was not clear which "boys" the ex 'X Factor' judge was referring to, with the recent revelation that the track will be featured in The Smurfs 2 movie, it can now be concluded that her newest song is for her two sons, fathered by her ex Kevin Federline, Sean Preston, 7, and Jayden James, 6.

The upcoming single was written and produced by Dr. Luke, reports E! News, who has worked with Spears on numerous hits like "Hold it Against Me" and "Circus."

"I have always loved the Smurfs as a kid and now my boys are the biggest Smurf fans EVER," Spears said in statement. "I wanted to surprise them with a song in the movie. I know they'll think it's Smurftastic!"

Lia Vollack, president of Worldwide Music for Sony Pictures, added, "We are completely thrilled to have Britney involved with The Smurfs. She is an amazing artist and her boys are Smurfs fans, so it's a great fit for all of us."

Raja Gosnell, director of The Smurfs 2, added, "I am very excited that Britney is joining our smurfy adventure. 'Ooh La La' is the perfect Smurf-party song, and the perfect button on the film for audiences around the world."

Spears is currently featured on will.i.am's hit song "Scream & Shout," off of his new album #WILLPOWER . Britney is reportedly working on a new record of her own, which will be her 8th studio album.

Even though the "Oops I did it Again" singer has previously claimed "she's not that innocent," Spears may have to revert back to her "Baby One More Time" days as "Ooh La La" is a "party song" intended for a younger audience, unlike her usual "scream & shouting" fans. Nevertheless, the new track from the beloved Britney is sure to be "toxic."
