Alexandra Daddario: True Detective Beauty Joins Adam Devine ‘When We First Met’ Amid Baywatch

After delivering an unforgettable performance in True Detective, actress Alexandra Daddario continues to scorch up the big screen. With the Baywatch movie currently underway, Daddario now joins Pitch Perfect actor Adam Devine in the romantic comedy, When We First Met.

As we previously mentioned, the Percy Jackson star is currently working on her latest project, which reunites her with her San Andreas co-star, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Based on the popular TV series of the same name, co-stars Priyanka Chopra and Kelly Rohrbach are already fitting into their tight red swimsuits. A red-band trailer was presented at the recent CinemaCon, teasing an R-rating for the feature film.

In the Baywatch mythology, Summer Quinn was originally played by Charles in Charge actress Nicole Eggert's character. Summer lived with her mother, Jackie, who was the owner of the restaurant, Jackie's Summer Place, on the beach. Summer could be distinguished by the tattoo around her right ankle. Daddario appears to be sporting a similar tattoo on the back of her left arm.

According to Deadline, the Hall Pass comedian has landed the role of the romantic interest. Noah (Devine) spends the perfect first night with the girl of his dreams (Daddario). This is the part where we say, "But of course she is!" The perfect night takes a turn for the worst when he ends up in the friend zone. Noah spends the next three years wondering what went wrong. All of a sudden, the romanist comedy turns into a sci-fi movie when he gets thechance to travel back in time and alter the timeline.

The mix mash of genres can be explained by Devine co-writing When We First Met with John Whittington & Scotty Landes, his co-stars on Workaholics. No word yet on when Director Ari Sandel (The DUFF) and the rest of cast will commence filming.

Baywatch will arrive in theaters on May 19, 2017.
