WGN America continues with the highly anticipated premiere of their new original drama, Underground. In Episode 10, The White Whale, Noah (Aldis Hodge) and Rosalee (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) continue to plan their daring 600-mile escape from their Georgia plantation.

Back at the plantation, Tom Macon (Reed Diamond) admits to Ernestine that he did her wrong and apologizes by seducing her. He promises to make life better for her once they start moving. Now that his son, Ben (Brady Permenter) is a cripple, August Pullman (Christopher Meloni) kills the other slave hunters before he goes after Rosalee.

John Hawkes (Marc Blucas) and Elizabeth (Jessica De Gouw) decide to help Noah and Rosalee with a plan. Elizabeth knows that the only way their plan is to work, someone has to get caught. As Rosalee and John dig up a hole, he reveals to her that Sam is dead.

In a bathtub, Rosalee and Noah have passionate kiss, knowing that night might be their last time together. Noah and Rosalee stage a hold-up and free the slaves locked up. Everything is going according to plan until Noah gets caught by a female bounty hunter named Paddy.

August shows up at John's place and hears the Marshall banging his head. John risks his life to save Rosalee and traps himself, along with August, in the basement. Elizabeth and Rosalee are on a speeding carriage as August chases after them on his horse.

During the standoff, August seems to have the upper-hand until Elizabeth point her gun at him. In one swift move, August manages to cut Elizabeth's hand and force her to drop her gun. Rosalee then strikes back and leaves August bleeding on the ground.

John reveals to the Marshall that he has been framed. Noah gave up the Marshall's name to the bounty hunter and the locked-up prisoners, making everyone think he is helping runaway slaves. Now that the Marshall is a traitor, John has no problem killing him.

Tom Macon meets with Ernestine one last time before their trip. Ernestine then has the Reverend's slave murder Tom and strangle him to death. Ernestine then makes the murder seem like a suicide.  We will never know if Tom

August finds himself in the same prison cell with Noah. Realizing he's in a cell with other slaves, Noah writes down the lyrics to the song and plans his next escape. Cato (Alano Miller) is still alive and has the stolen money.

Now free and in the North, Rosalee wants to go back and rescue the other slaves. Boo is safe but she will forget the world that came before her. Rosalee remembers those who died for her freedom and now she must do the same.

Tom Macon's Wife and Ernestine are in mourning. She knew about Ernestine's affair with her husband but that didn't bother her. The children never saw her as their mother. Tom Macon's wife promises to take care of her boy as she sells Ernestine at a slave auction.

After her carriage stops moving, Rosalee steps out and meets a young "Harry" aka Harriet Tubman (Kesha Bullard), who has a shotgun in their hand.
