"Arrow" S04E21 "Monument Point" Stephen Amell, Emily Bett Rickards Premiere Recap

The CW Network continues with the  Season 4 premiere of Arrow. In episode 21, Monument Point, can Stephen Amell/Green Arrow (Oliver Queen) and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) win the fight against Damien Dhark (Neal McDonough)?

Over in Russia, the launch sequence has been rebooted.HIVE now has control over all the nuclear systems. Felicity discovers they have 21 hours before launch; which is why she needs her father to stop the countdown. 

Diggle (David Ramsey) needs to find the nexus chamber in Star City. In the past, Oliver has found a plane to call for help. In the present, Thea (Willa Holland) is held prisoner by her father Malcolm (John Barrowman). Thea learns about Genesis, the plan to burn and rebuild an entire world. Malcolm believes the world needs a do-over. 

Malcolm then shows Thea the way to Alex. Donna (Charlotte Ross) confronts Quentin Lance (Paul BlackThrone) about him being suspended. Lance is being asked to lie by his superiors, which doesn't make Donna proud. Donna loves Quentin and believes he will do the right thing.

Danny Brickwell (Vinnie Jones) is tasked by Damien to find and kill The Calculator (Tom Amandes). Lonnie Machin has sneaked inside the dome to find Dhark. Donna kills Quentin for acknowledging Laurel was Black Canary in his affidavit. 

Felicity is already in trouble with board. Donna reveals the Noah's secret cabin where Felicity was conceived. Oliver is worried that Diggle is lying to Lyla about Andy's death. While Diggle and the Green Arrow take out Brickwell, Felicity arrives in the nick of time to rescue her father. 

The Calculator needs Palmer Tech in order to hack into Rubicon. Voted by the board, Felicity has been removed by her title and has to step down.Thea discovers Alex is al for the dome and helping the residents. Unfortunately because of Anarchy's break-in, the life support system will fail during the nuclear attack.

Since Palmer Tech isn't hers anymore, Diggle and Oliver break into the building. Noah is having fun working with his daughter. While Oliver takes out the guards, Noah and Felicity hack into the system. 

Thea and Malcolm are working together to stop the bomb inside the dome. Noah explains to the Green Arrow that his daughter only see the criminal. All of a sudden, Thea finds herself cornered by Lonnie Machin. 

In order to give Felicity and her father time, the Green Arrow and Diggle have to fight Damien's army. Thea witnesses Lonnie Machin electrocuting Alex to death. Though Noah has taken a bullet for his daughter, one of the nukes launches. 

While Arrow and Diggle head towards the Mayor's office to find Damien, Felicity races against the clock to mess with the missile's targeting system. Unfortunately, the missile takes out thousands, not millions, of innocent lives. 

Diggle and the Green Arrow find Damien in his secret lair, absorbing the ancient artifact's powers.

In the past, Diana has become consumed by the dark magic.
